Currently, MDAC is strategically developing its programming in Africa. In addition to Sierra Leone and Egypt where MDAC already found partners and has carried out preliminary investigations, we are expanding our horizon to Eastern Africa and Southern Africa. In East Africa, MDAC will focus on Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. In Southern Africa, MDAC will begin work in Zambia. MDAC plans an exploratory mission to Uganda and Kenya in March 2010 to explore opportunities for envisioned programmes and to meet with potential partner organisations and other stakeholders in the field of intellectual and psycho-social (mental health) disabilities.
