1. General terms and conditions.

Use of this site is made available by MDAC subject to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not access or use www.mdac.info.

1.1. Your use constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions from the date of your first use of www.mdac.info. MDAC reserves the right to edit these terms and conditions at any time and will publish the latest version online. Your continued use of www.mdac.info after changes are posted means you agree to be legally bound by these terms as updated and/or amended

1.2. You agree to use www.mdac.infofor lawful purposes only, without infringing the rights of, or restricting/inhibiting the use and enjoyment of, the sites by any third party

2. Copyright restrictions

2.1. The copyright for all textual material on this site belongs to MDAC. Visitors may download and read textual material from the site but may not alter this information, republish or sell it without permission. If use of the logo or any of the text from this site is required, please ask for permission by emailing: mdac@mdac.info

2.2. The copyright for the images used on this web site does not rest with MDAC, so we are unable to give you the right to reproduce any images - except the candle logo - used on the site

2.3. Commercial use or publication of all or any item displayed is strictly prohibited without prior authorisation from MDAC. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as conferring any licence by MDAC to use any item displayed

2.4. Documents may be copied for personal use only on the condition that copyright and source indications are also copied, no modifications are made and the document is copied entirely. However, some documents and photos have been published on this site with the permission of the relevant copyright owners (who are not MDAC). All rights are reserved on these documents and permission to copy them must be requested from the copyright owners (the sources are indicated within these documents/photographs)

2.5. MDAC takes no responsibility for the content of external sites not hosted by www.mdac.info

2.6. Any communication or material that you transmit to, or post on, any public area of www.mdac.info, including any data, questions, comments, suggestions, or the like, is, and will be treated as, non-confidential and non-proprietary information

2.7. If there is a conflict between these terms and conditions and rules and/or specific terms of use appearing on www.mdac.info relating to specific functions or content eg discussion forums, then the latter shall prevail

2.8. These terms and conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.

MDAC data security and privacy policy

Introduction
1. Your online privacy and security is very important to us. MDAC adheres to the European Union privacy principles, and Hungarian law (see Act LXIII of 1992 on the Protection of Personal Data and Public Access to Data of Public Interest). Personal information
2. When you read a page hosted by www.mdac.info  and are asked for personal information, you share that information with MDAC alone, unless stated otherwise. 
3. When you register at www.mdac.info, we ask you to provide personal information. If we use this information in a manner different than the purpose for which it was collected, then we will ask for your consent prior to such use.
4. We will not collect or use information for purposes other than those described in this Policy and/or in specific service notices, unless we have obtained your prior consent.

Information you provide
5. When you register at www.mdac.info, we ask you for personal information (such as your name, email address and an account password).

Cookies
6. When you visit www.mdac.info, we send one or more cookies (cookies are a small file containing a string of characters) to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends, such as how website users search, and which documents you download. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features and services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled. MDAC will store this information for two years and then ask your permission to renew.

These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. MDAC will store this information for two years and then ask your permission to renew.

Links
8. Our website www.mdac.info may present links in a format that enables us to keep track of whether these links have been followed. We use this information to improve the quality of our search technology and customized content. We only look at which country the website user is searching from, and do not store any personal data which could identify the website user. MDAC will store this information for two years and then ask your permission to renew.

Other sites
9. This Privacy Policy applies to web sites and services that are owned and operated by MDAC. We do not exercise control over the sites displayed as search results or links from within our various pages. These other sites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit personal information from you.
10. We only process personal information for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy and for research and analysis in order to maintain, protect and improve our services, ensuring the technical functioning of our network; and developing new services. 
11. MDAC processes personal information on our server in Hungary. Our server is hosted by the nonprofit foundation ZöldPók Alapítvány at the ServerFarm of Senorg Hungary Rt.

Accessing and updating personal information
12. When you use MDAC’s services, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge. If you have a query related to this you should email the Office Administrator at mdac@mdac.info.

Sharing information
13. MDAC will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information, except when we have your permission or under special circumstances, such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires it. MDAC does not sell lists to others. MDAC may share individual information available to affiliated third parties and our agents for marketing purposes. MDAC may also use such information to contact people for marketing purposes, especially where a person has indicated that he or she would like to be contacted by MDAC. From time to time, we agree with other likeminded organisations to write to some of each other's supporters, for the mutual benefit of both.
14. We use the information we collect about visitors to the site to help us with understanding more about how our site is used and to be able to send you appropriate communications.

Distribution of information
15. If you have subscribed to any of MDAC’s e-communications we will not sell or rent this information to anyone. From time to time we may work in partnership with other organisations on a campaign and so you may receive joint communications from MDAC and our partner organisation(s).

Information security
16. If you provide us with personal information (for example, registering for our email updates) your details are stored securely (for two years, then we will ask you for permission to renew) and used only for the purpose for which you have signed up. We do not pass your details to other organisations without your express consent (except if you use our secure financial pages - in which case they are passed to our financial partner, XXX, for payment processing and validation purposes only - see below for further details).

17. We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. These include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures. The company which hosts our server (Senorg Hungary Rt.) guards against unauthorized access to its systems.

18. We restrict access to personal information to MDAC employees who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are personally authorize to access the data by MDAC’s Executive Director, are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.

Data integrity
19. MDAC processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Policy or any applicable service-specific privacy notice. We periodically review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.

Changes to this policy
20. Please note that this Privacy Policy will be updated if there are any changes in our practice. We will post any Policy changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice (including, for certain services, email notification of Policy changes). Each version of this Policy will be identified at the top of the page by its effective date, and we will also keep prior versions of this Privacy Policy in an archive for your review.
